Even if you cannot attend the June Gourd Festival, you can still send in an entry for the annual Gourd Art Competition, brought to you by the California Gourd Society.
Every year gourd artists from across the country enter their artwork and not only win ribbons but also get their work showcased to thousands of people attending the festival!
If you are an Exhibitor at the Festival, this is an opportunity not to be missed! Buyers have been know to first scout the Competition tent, then seek out the exhibiting artists of their choice at the Festival and purchase multiple pieces, just based on one art piece they saw in the competition tents!

June Gourd Festival Classes Just Posted!
One of the most exciting parts of the annual June Gourd Art Festival at the Welburn Gourd Farm is the incredible gourd art classes taught by some of the most talented artists and instructors in the industry.
Join us this June 25th and 26th, 2009, the Thursday and Friday before the Festival, for the gourd classes!
Create a beautiful gourd vessel inlayed with crushed glass, such as those pictured left.
This class is taught by Dianne Connelly, one of the most requested instructors at the farm not only due to her amazing talent as an artist but also her sense of humor and fun-loving spirit!
